About me
Hi, I’m Daria Pero — or just Dasha.
I’ve been doing photography since 2017. It all started back when I was in university, and since then it’s become not just my job, but the thing I truly love most.
Originally I'm from small town in the Saratov region of Russia. I studied at an art school — that’s where I first learned the basics of light, color, and composition. I’ve been fascinated by photography since childhood: I’d borrow my friends’ DSLRs or use our old compact camera to take photos of anything and everything. I just loved catching the light, the moment. And every time I saw a bride, I would be absolutely exited — maybe that’s when I fell in love with wedding atmosphere.
I’m a calm and gentle person by nature. I prefer deep conversations in the kitchen to loud parties in pubs, and I usually find inspiration while walking alone in nature. I love slow mornings, cooking breakfasts, making my home feel cozy… And recently I discovered ceramics — now it’s my new favorite hobby.
Over the past few years, I’ve moved around quite a bit, and now I live in Sofia, Bulgaria. I shoot women’s portraits, couples, families, events and, of course, weddings, which are my absolute favorite.
In my work, I’m attentive and detail-oriented. I care about visual clarity and minimalism — I always choose simple backgrounds so that nothing distracts from what really matters: people and their emotions. I especially love soft light — sunrise, sunset, cloudy or even foggy days. I like quiet, slightly melancholic photos — the ones where there’s no noise, but there is a story.
If you feel connected to this way of seeing the world — I’d happy to meet you and create something meaningful together.
